Dehydration, Water and Weight Loss (39)

Dehydration, Water and Weight Loss (39)
Hinkley, weight loss, lose weight, healthy, diet, water and weight loss

Water is a natural appetite suppressant and water is an essential component of your weight loss program In the hypothalamus, a region in your brain that controls appetites and cravings, the control centers for hunger and thirst are located next to each other, and there tends to be some overlap. This has both advantages and disadvantages for the dieter: on the down side, it means that chronic mild dehydration can confuse these control mechanisms, leading to feelings of hunger, rather than thirst. But on a positive note, it means you can use water to reduce your appetite.

Water is an essential component of the processes that enable muscle to contract. This means that water helps to maintain muscle tone. Better muscle tone means a better looking body, and isn't that what dieting and weight loss is about?

Water also helps to prevent the sagging skin that often follows weight loss - water plumps the skin cells, giving the skin a younger and healthier look.

Water helps rid the body of waste. During weight loss, the body has a lot more waste to get rid of, as a byproduct of all that metabolized fat. So adequate water is essential to your health while dieting.

Water can even help with constipation. When the body gets too little water, it siphons what it needs from within, particularly from the colon. This leads to constipation. But normal bowel function usually returns with adequate water intake.

More generally, mild dehydration can cause a number of health problems:

- Headaches & feeling light headed, as dehydration interferes with normal body processes, including waste disposal.
- Fatigue, as the body's metabolism is slowed - mild dehydration is probably the most common cause of daytime fatigue.
- Hunger & cravings due to weakening of the thirst mechanism.
- Fluid retention.
- Constipation

Not a pretty picture, is it? But once you've reached the breakthrough point, fluid retention eases, the liver and endocrine system start to function more effectively, you will start to regain your natural thirst and your hunger cravings will be significantly reduced. And so the end result of reaching and sustaining the breakthrough point in your water balance is that your body is able to metabolize fat more effectively. The end result is more control of your weight loss program.

Lose Weight Deliciously? (38)

Lose Weight Deliciously? (38)
lose weight, Hinkley, weight loss, healthy weight loss, diiet, healthy, faster weight loss

There's probably not a person in this world who likes to diet, however if you were to find a way to lose weight and enjoy it, wouldn't it be worth a try? Well, guess what. If you combine negative calorie fruits and vegetables into salads or other dishes, you can accelerate weight loss and at the same have a delicious snack or meal.

Negative calorie foods are not new and have been discussed in weight loss circles for years. They are essentially fruits and vegetables that make your body use more calories (units of heat) to digest than they contain themselves. When you eat them as part of your diet, the net result is a negative calorie balance. This will help you lose weight faster.

The following treats actual burn more calories in their digestion than they offer, so you can fulfill your snack craving without the guilt of a bag of potato chips. From asparagus to zucchini, these foods make the perfect snacks.

* Asparagus
* Apples
* Beets
* Broccoli
* Cabbage
* Carrots
* Cauliflower

* Celery
* Cucumbers
* Garlic
* Grapefruit
* Lettuce

* Oranges
* Papaya
* Pineapples
* Raspberries
* Spinach
* Strawberries
* Turnips
* Zucchini

As you can see there are many fat burning foods to choose from. The way to achieve faster weight loss with these foods is to eat more of them more often. Let's explore your options for the many ways to include them in your diet. First pick out the vegetables from the list that you like to eat. Write them down on a piece of paper. Then list your favorite fruits below them on the same piece of paper.

Your objective is to use as many of your favorite fat burning foods incorporated with the other foods you prepare. For example, when you eat your daily salad incorporate as many fat burning foods as you can to make a tasty salad for yourself. You can start with lettuce, add shredded carrots, a few cucumber slices, sliced or diced apples and maybe a little pineapple. On the side you might add a few strawberries and a couple pieces of celery.

For a snack you can make sugarless Jell-O with shredded carrots included. Another good snack is your own special fruit salad prepared ahead of time. You can top it with a sugarless whipped cream. Be creative. Find ways to use garlic in your cooking instead of salt. Use fat burning vegetables as the complementary ingredients when you cook your meals. You will soon become accustomed to using these foods first in your meals.

By their very nature, you can eat as many of them in your diet as you wish. The more of these foods you eat on a daily basis, the more weight you can lose and keep off. Remember to also eat other sensible low fat foods and protein to stay healthy. Never go on a crash negative food diet only. The idea is to increase your use of these foods, not to replace your total diet with them.

A well-rounded lifestyle that includes the right foods and exercise will result in you reaching your goal weight faster. Fat burning foods can be your secret weapon in the battle of the bulge. It's a tasty way to lose those unwanted pounds. In other words, it's a safe and healthy way to lose weight.

Keep in mind that a diet limited to only these foods could lead to malnutrition (according to Wikipedia), so don't go getting all unhealthy on us. But when snack time hits, these healthy, negative calorie foods sound like winners.

Protein is an essential nutritional component, but you should aim for meats and fish that are leaner in fat. You can combine some lean meats with other food choices to help your body burn fat, basically acting as a thermal agent.

When you start to look at the healthier food choices that help with weight loss, you will soon begin to notice the excess weight gradually come off. It is important to lose weight in a healthy way and choosing a diet that includes nutritional choices, like those above, can help you do just that.

It is very helpful to start learning about foods that promote weight loss. Not only do you want to learn which foods to choose, but also how to combine these foods to satisfy your appetite while not adding on the pounds. Some of the best ways to begin learning about these foods is to look in diet and cooking books or magazines for tasteful combinations, or search the Internet where you will find a lot of useful information to help guide you toward nutritional food choices.

You will find that well-known foods such as chives, cinnamon, strawberries, blueberries, apples, berries and cayenne pepper, among other foods can help individuals lose weight. Frog legs and lobster is one more uncommon foods promoted as a good selection for weight loss.

Of course, you cannot add on butter or calorie-dense dressings, but besides that lobster is indeed one of the more positive food choices. Lobster is known to help the body burn some of the fats that have accumulated over time.

Generally, you will find that foods specified as helping with weight loss can range from the expected, predictable choices to the more uncommon foods to include such specialties as lobster. By choosing these foods, you can begin your way to effective, healthy weight loss that is more likely to be a permanent change.

Simple Strategies for Successful Weight Loss

Simple Strategies for Successful Weight Loss
Hinkley, lose weight, weight loss, healthy, diet
Sept 12, 2008

Perhaps making a few simple changes in your diet will result in big changes in your weight loss program For example:
1.) Can you switch from whole milk to skim milk? Would it be difficult to try a light or low-fat version of mayonnaise, salad dressing and cheese?

2.) Would it be difficult to control your portions? Another words could you cut your super size meals to accomplish weight loss?

3.) Can you eat vegetables, fruits, whole grains and low-fat protein sources more often? At the same time can you limit the amount of fat, alcohol and snacks?

4.) Start your day with a healthy breakfast that includes some protein, in the form of low-fat milk, yogurt, lean meats, or an egg. Many overweight people skip breakfast. Start living life like a thin person, and make breakfast a healthy habit.

5.) Is it possible that you can slip in a little activity in your daily routine? Maybe walking a little extra each day, taking the stairs and parking a little further away from the store's front door.

6.) Don't try to manage your stress with food. Many people eat in response to stress. Unfortunately, food does not help you cope with stress; it simply adds calories to your daily total which of course hinders weight loss.

7.) Pay more attention to food labels to make healthier choices in food. Also give more attention to calories, fat, salts and sugars which hurts and diet when trying to lose weight.
8.) Eat slowly and with a sense of purpose. Enjoy your food and do not swallow it without truly tasting it. Savor the flavors and engage your senses so that you truly acknowledge that you are eating.

These are just a few simple suggestions that could lead to some substantial weight loss. It's not really all that difficult and if you think about it, if you change to the above suggested habits, it could mean permanent weight loss.

A Healthy Diet for Controlled Weight

A Healthy Diet for Controlled Weight (25)
weight loss, healthy, lose weight, diet, Hinkley, CA
Sept 12, 2008
Most Americans are not aware of a very powerful threat hanging over our heads. It's not terrorism, oil shortages or some other political issue. The clearest and most pressing damage lies in the fact that every second American has at least one chronic illness as we speak, while 60 million people suffer from multiple chronic conditions. Despite advances in modern medicine our health is worse today than ever before in our history! There is no doubt that sickness affects us directly, causing untold sufferering and hardship.
In the year 2000, the U.S. population was 276 million. Nearly half of the population -- 125 million Americans -- lived with some type of chronic condition. About 60 million lived with multiple chronic conditions. Examples of chronic conditions are diabetes, cancer, glaucoma and heart disease. The number of people with chronic conditions is growing at an alarming rate and this does not include the over-weight and obese people. Sometimes it looks like the weight loss thought is gone.
So Why Are We Sick?
We get sick because our lack of health is economically profitable for a lot of big companies and shareholders. Including:
* The food industry with all the 'designer' junk foods and beverages that hold no nutritional value and actually make us fat(overweight) and sick.
* All the polluting industries that fill our lives and bodies with harmful chemicals and toxins.
* The 'sick care' industry that figured out long ago that there's a lot more money to be made in treating symptoms with drugs and surgeries in expensive hospitals than in patient education, prevention and natural medicine and weight loss.

This is the age of fast food, canned food, frozen food, packaged food, and other types of 'convenience food'. All this food is tailor-made to suit the prevailing modern lifestyle that is marked by speed, convenience, comfort, leisure and pleasure but not weight loss. Nevertheless, you should try to eliminate processed foods from your daily life, if you wish to lead a healthy life and maintain continuos weight loss.
Partially hydrogenated vegetable oils contain trans fats, which are harmful. Trans fats increase the bad cholesterol (LDL) and deplete the good cholesterol (HDL) levels. They make arteries rigid and clog them, resulting in heart problems. They cause insulin resistance and contribute to Type 2 diabetes. Trans fats pose a serious overall health risk, much more serious than saturated fats found in meat and dairy products.
Many Times we are tempted buy processed foods that carry a label stating that they are "low-calorie" or "healthy" or "diet" and so on. Despite their labels, they only add to your weight and your health risks. Even ready-to-eat meals supplied by the food outlets that seem to make your life comfortable and easy may have used processed food products, so be wary.
Depend more on fresh foods, although they are a little more expensive, in the interest of keeping good health and maintain healthy weight loss condition.

Visible Result of Hormonal Imbalance is Weight Gain

All Adults Could Be Fat by 2048

If the trends of the past three decades continue, it's possible that every American adult could be overweight 40 years from now, a government-funded study projects.

The figure might sound alarming, or impossible, but researchers say that even if the actual rate never reaches the 100-percent mark, any upward movement is worrying; two-thirds of the population is already overweight.

"Genetically and physiologically, it should be impossible" for all U.S. adults to become overweight, said Dr. Lan Liang of the federal government's Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, one of the researchers on the study. However, she told Reuters Health, the data suggest that if the trends of the past 30 years persist, that is the direction we're going.

Already, she and her colleagues point out, some groups of U.S. adults have extremely high rates of overweight and obesity; among African- American women, for instance, 78 percent are currently overweight or obese.

The new projections, published in the journal Obesity, are based on government survey data collected between the 1970s and 2004. If the trends of those years continue, the researchers estimate that 86 percent of American adults will be overweight by 2030, with an obesity rate of 51 percent. By 2048, all U.S. adults could be at least mildly overweight.

Weight problems will be most acute among African-Americans and Mexican- Americans, the study projects. All black women could be overweight by 2034, according to the researchers, as could more than 90 percent of Mexican-American men.

All of this rests on the "big assumption" that the trends of recent decades will march on unabated, Liang acknowledged.

"This is really intended as a wake-up call to show what could happen if nothing changes," she said. SOURCE: Obesity, online July 24, 2008. Copyright Reuters

ASH (Advanced Scientific Health) teaches us that when we are young, our cells are full of oxygen and we are full of energy. That’s how we are created. Due to age and inactivity, stored carbohydrates accumulate in the form of fat. Because we are now full-grown, the hypothalamus tells the pituitary gland to release less and less STH. This causes the pancreas to produce more insulin in order to maintain proper blood sugar levels. The visible result of this hormonal imbalance is weight gain. The chronic symptoms of this imbalance is hypoglycemia. If not corrected, diabetes is the end result.

There are no surgeries that can be performed nor drugs that can be taken to maintain optimal levels of both insulin and STH.

ASH offers a product called RAANOW (Reverse Accelerated Aging Now). One of the ingrediant's is the “miracle molecule” L-Arginine. L-Arginine is known for its benefits in fat loss, muscle and sex gains, and bone and skin repair. Health education is part of the ASH membership. ASH also offers a great compensation plan, however, participation is optional to members. The only requirement for a ASH membership is $30 a month dues. If you or someone close to you has health issues (and who doesn't) I strongly suggest that you look further into ASH (Advanced Scientific Health) The ASH products can lead you to optimal health effectively and inexpensively without drugs, cutting, burning and radiation.
